We believe in Wales’ potential to shape the media industry and creative economy. Locally, nationally, and globally. Cardiff and the surrounding capital region has already situated itself as a major player in the media industry, but with greater funding, diversity, and opportunities for innovation, Walescan become a global leader.

By building on the global successes already happening in the region’s media sector, harnessing existing knowledge, increasing capacity for innovation and generating skills, we can shape the future of media in Wales as a whole.

Here is the primary logo for the Media Cymru brand. This lockup is a custom muted version of the typeface inter. All letterforms and graphic elements are custom and exclusive to the Media Cymru brand.

The primary logo consists of the name ‘Media Cymru’ using a custom-made typeface. The logo should always sit either left or right aligned for correct use.

So far on with the process we have discovered a number of design concepts in which we would like amalgamate into a new brand direction for Media Cymru. The concepts we have explored are showing collections of shapes in motion to stand as a representation of the people & areas of work combined that make up Media Cymru and it’s ecosystem.

To further this concept, we’ve designed a suite of shapes in which are designed based from the same baseline grid but are unique in form. The idea being this shows diversity within the ecosystem. A coming together of these shapes also represents the collaboration between each member and their combined strengths they bring to the table.

The concept of the shapes is represent ‘Piecing something together’ – to bring combined talent into one place.
