It will provide Fellows with hands-on, experiential learning that will successfully and confidently develop the wide variety of creative, film making and technical skills necessary to navigate virtual production and real-time industries.
The programme will be split into four specialist areas, with the four cohorts working closely together throughout the programme:
- Producing Virtual Production (e.g. producers, line producers, script supervisors)
- Creating Virtual Art (e.g. 3D artists, technical artists, VFX, production designers, postproduction)
- Running a Volume (e.g. stage technicians, stage operators, VP supervisors)
- Filming in a Volume (e.g. DoPs, directors, art department)
With a thorough, blended delivery of course content, mentorship, specialist learning (creative and technical), independent study, industry-led masterclasses, and on-set, practical experience on an LED Volume, our Virtual Production Fellowship programme establishes a high benchmark for developing the virtual production skills needed in our industry. There are clear, achievable and measurable learning outcomes for each specialism, with proficiency and achievement level tracked and recognised within Final Pixel’s digital badges framework.
This experience will also provide a roadmap to carve out a successful career path in virtual production, as well as how to best utilise and diversify transferable skills across multiple sectors.
Integration with industry, studios, employers, and university partnerships, will create a lasting legacy and embed virtual production training into the local community where it is delivered.
