Media Cymru Fund Manager

The Media Cymru Fund Manager will oversee the planning, delivery and administration of Media Cymru’s funding competitions for businesses, managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders such as funders, consortium partners (e.g. BBC Cymru Wales, S4C, Ffilm Cymru) and businesses from across the Welsh media sector. Applicants will need to be enthusiastic and highly organised problem solvers with excellent skills in project management, financial management, partnership management, leadership, line management, compliance, communication and networking. They will have experience of managing complex relationships between businesses, sectoral agencies, funders and universities.

Salary:  £49,794 – £54,395 per annum (Grade 7)

 

Media Cymru Project Officer

The Project Officer will provide support for all aspects of the day-to-day management and administration of Media Cymru and the Centre for the Creative Economy, working with colleagues across the University to ensure the effective and timely development and delivery of key systems, processes and procedures, with a particular focus on supporting funding competitions for businesses. The role holder will support the Fund Manager with the development and delivery of industry RD&I projects, financial management, key performance indicator (KPI) monitoring, award monitoring, data management and partnership development. They will support the organisation of meetings and events involving consortium partners and a wide range of external stakeholders.

Salary: £32,332 – £34,980 per annum (Grade 5)

 

Creative Economy Research Associate

This is a 3 year post based in the Centre for the Creative Economy and externally funded by the Media Cymru programme (based in the Centre).

The role holder will contribute to the research record of the Programme by publishing high-quality research, inspiring others to do the same. They will play a pivotal role in working across and connecting the Media Cymru research programme to the broader aims of the Centre for the Creative Economy. They will conduct research for a series of reports and publications, focusing on innovation, media and creative clusters, and the creative and media sector in the Cardiff Capital Region and beyond. They will also lead and support the development of new research bids that connect to Media Cymru and the Centre for the Creative Economy.

We welcome applicants with expertise from a wide range of academic disciplines, including creative industries, creative/media clusters, economic geography (creative places), innovation management, communication sciences, urban studies and network research.

Salary: £39,347 – £44,263 per annum (Grade 6)
