Professor Marlen Komorowski, Senior Research Fellow for the Media Cymru said:
“At the Centre for the Creative Economy, we’ve found that the creative industries have become a true growth engine for Wales, yet this is still largely underappreciated due to the lack of accessible data.”
“There is so much innovation, talent, and activity happening across the creative industries in Wales, but these incredible stories often remain untold. The Creative Atlas is our response to this challenge—a single, accessible platform to break down data silos, showcase the amazing work being done, and provide practical tools for the sector, from finding business spaces to accessing training opportunities or exploring inspiring projects.”
The new Creative Atlas was part funded by Welsh Government.
Joedi Langley, Interim Head of Creative Wales, said:
“It’s fantastic to see the launch of the Creative Atlas – a collection of vital insights that will serve as a hub of essential information to explore. As well as holding valuable data, it’s also a useful tool for aspiring creatives, freelancers and prospective companies looking to do business in Wales. It will continue to grow and improve over time, and we look forward to sharing it with our stakeholders.”
