Introducing: PLAYBACK

Five years of progress and 170 Media Cymru R&D projects will culminate in an epic showcase – all set against the backdrop of the UK’s third largest media centre.  

PLAYBACK is Media Cymru’s festival of innovation taking place in Cardiff on the 15, 16 and 17 September 2026.

The festival will take shape in the form of a one-day research conference at Cardiff University’s School of Journalism on the 15 September 2026.

This will be followed by two days of talks, panels and experiences showcasing the incredible work from across the Media Cymru programme. Taking place at Tramshed, Tramshed Tech and fringe venues across the city on the 16 and 17 September 2026.
