XR experts RISTBAND to visit Cardiff for a series of interactive workshops on immersive technology and events

About Media Cymru’s Innovators in Residence: RISTBAND

Media Cymru is delighted to welcome Mixed Reality experts RISTBAND to Cardiff for a series of interactive workshops for the Welsh media industry next week. 

RISTBAND – a creative studio and technology company – is creating a new era of entertainment using game engines, VR, AI and the latest cutting-edge technology to create immersive experiences live and online.

RISTBAND will be Media Cymru’s third Innovator in Residence, taking place 14-17 October 2024. This follows the launch of the first Innovator in Residence – from XR expert Alex Counsell – in November last year.

RISTBAND event series: Monday 14 – Thursday 17 October 2024

Join the RISTBAND team Monday 14 October to chat with XR experts who will share insights into transformative immersive tech. You’ll also get the chance to check out their award-winning Mixed Reality Concert Demonstration.  

Following the introduction to RISTBAND, on Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 October there will be a two-day interactive workshop focusing on producing, developing and marketing immersive events. The workshop series will be hosted by RISTBAND’s founding team, who have created and toured numerous award-winning immersive experiences around the world. Participants will learn from RISTBAND’s in-depth knowledge, experience blending skills and approaches from the worlds of music, film, cinema, gaming, and touring to trailblaze in the emerging immersive entertainment market.  

The RISTBAND event series is free and open to anyone working in the media sector in Wales who is interested in learning more about the uses of immersive technology in events. This includes: Artists, Filmmakers, Developers, Music professionals, Producers, Writers, Sound designers, and Venue Owners.
